Christianity and World Religions:

In late February we started a  six-session video-based program that explores how the other major world religions compare to and differ from Christianity. See the Announcements page for more info, also HERE’S AN INTRO VIDEO.

Fridays in Lent

  • Stations of the Cross, 12:00 noon
    • April 12 will be the last one for this Lent, because we’ll be joining brothers and sisters from St George’s Episcopal, St Mark Lutheran and St Luke’s Roman Catholic churches in Belleville on Good Friday, processing through the stations in the neighborhood from St Luke’s to St George’s where a nice soup and bread lunch will be served. It begins at 12:10 pm. Join us!

Palm Sunday, April 14th

  • brief Morning Prayer, 8:30 am
  • The Liturgy of the Palms and Holy Eucharist, 9:30 am

Maundy Thursday, April 18th

  • The Liturgy of Maundy Thursday (Institution of the Holy Eucharist), 7:00 pm
  • followed by the Stripping of the Altar
  • followed by the Watch before the Altar of Repose, which begins right after the liturgy and continues until noon on Good Friday, the hour our Lord was crucified

Good Friday, April 19th

  • Stations of the Cross, 12:00 noon
  • The Liturgy of Good Friday, 7:00 pm

Holy Saturday, April 20th

  • brief morning Liturgy of Holy Saturday, 9:00 am
  • followed by preparation of the church for Easter

Then it’s EASTER!

    • Lessons and Prayers
    • Holy Baptism or Renewal of Baptismal Vows
    • first Mass of the Resurrection
    • Again this year our friends from St George’s Episcopal Church, Belleville will be joining us for this.
    • A champagne (or reasonable facsimile thereof) reception will follow in the narthex

Easter Day, April 21st
